A little something I like to do as a challenge for myself is pick ONE rifle and loadout and exclusively use that setup all year (surprisingly hard to do, especially as a gear maker). At the end of the year, I evaluate how everything performed, the pros and cons, and changes I'd like to make based on that experience. I've done this routine for the last two years now, and I like it for a couple of reasons.
1. You become more proficient. When you're not bouncing between rifles and optic setups, you can get really good with offsets/holdovers, speed etc...
2. It keeps me from buying a bunch of stuff throughout the year. I get to think long and hard about changes I'd like to make and why. I find this helps drive good purchasing decisions and saves money.
Normally, this time of year, I would make a few tweaks and keep inching my setup closer and closer to perfection. But... 2024, I'll be running a different loadout entirely, and I'll talk about that in a follow-up post. If you're up for a fun challenge, I would give this method a try.
I made a video last year regarding one rig for all situations. I've never had to delete so many negative and simply vile comments on any video ever. Equally I banned loads of ppl who posted those comments. Simply put, it went against the Tactical coolness YT and other entertaining sources have been feeding so many ppl for so long just to make some money. Its a farce that is going to get ppl killed when the hammer drops..

PS I didn't poach the title from anyone- Im a LOTR fan so it was a simple title grab. Also my junk is not monetized so I'm not piggy backing to make money on my video here..
